Introduction to the General Conference

It is ALECSO's highest legislative body composed of state-members' delegations headed -each- by the president of the National Education, Culture and Science Committee. It meets once every two years in an ordinary session and may meet in extraordinary sessions pursuant to a decision from the General Assembly or the Executive board or following a request from a third of state-members.
Article Four of ALECSO's constituency determines the General Assembly's formation, its prerogatives, the voting method, its work procedures, its ordinary and extraordinary sessions' holding, the right to attend the sessions, its special and technical committees' composition, and the adoption of its by-laws.
