Celebrating Arab Cultural Symbols

  • His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, was chosen by the 19th Conference of Arab Culture Ministers (Riyadh, January 12-13, 2015) as Arab Cultural Symbol for 2016.

 

  • The great Lebanese singer Fairouz was chosen by the 20th Conference of Arab Culture Ministers (Tunis, December 14-15, 2016) as Arab Cultural Symbol for 2017.

 

  • The late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish (1941-2008) was chosen by the Permanent Committee for Arab Culture (Casablanca, November 30, 2017) as Arab Cultural Symbol for 2018.
