The Arabization Coordination Bureau, a Rabat-based subsidiary institution of ALECSO, concluded, on July 18, 2025, a three-day training course on lexicography. The event was attended by over thirty postgraduate (MA and PhD) students from Moroccan universities.
This training event is part of ALECSO's ongoing efforts to disseminate lexicographic knowledge and promote specialized training in the Arabic language.
The course featured the participation of prominent professors and experts from various Arab countries, who delivered scholarly presentations and conducted training workshops designed to deepen the participants’ understanding of lexicography-related concepts, in line with the latest approaches in this regard.
The scientific sessions saw an active interaction between trainers and participants, and provided a platform for sharing expertise and for discussing current challenges facing lexicography and Arabization, especially amid the growing need for the standardization of scientific and technical terms in Arabic.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Mourad Rifi, Director of the Arabization Coordination Bureau, commended the successful implementation of this training event. He expressed appreciation of the participants' active engagement, indicating that the Bureau will continue its training programs designed to build a new generation of Arab professionals capable of effectively contributing to the development of lexicography and enhancing the presence of the Arabic language in all fields of research and knowledge.
The course concluded with the distribution of certificates of participation.
