The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) participated in the award ceremony of the “Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Award for Creativity in the Service of the Arabic Language”, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo on May 7, 2025.
ALECSO was represented at this ceremony by Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Director of the Institute of Arab Research and Studies, a Cairo-based subsidiary institution of ALECSO, on behalf of the Director-General, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar.
The “Individual Award” was granted to Mr. Hassan Al-Nahhas for his project “The Miracle in Computerizing the Arabic Language”, while the “Institutional Award” went to the King Salman Global Academy of the Arabic Language for its Arabic Language Index project.
The event featured a speech by H.E. Mr. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Babtain, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Foundation.
The ceremony was also addressed by H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Yammahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament and Chairman of the Award Board of Trustees, and H.E. Amb. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, speaking on behalf of H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League.
