The ALECSO observatory has just released a report containing a package of data and indicators on Arab countries concerning several sectors that fall within ALECSO’s fields of competence.
These data and indicators were collected from internationally recognized sources, and are of high quality and comparable between countries and regions. In several cases, the evolution of Arab indicators was compared with that of other regions and with global indicators, which offers a clearer idea about the degree of progress made by the Arab countries in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
This book, in its first edition which contains about 160 pages, is a reliable source of data and indicators which are broken down into five categories: Education, Culture, Scientific Research, ICT, and Economy. Some demographic indicators related to other relevant fields were also included in the report which covers essentially the period between 2014 and 2019.
