H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), opened a webinar on October 14, 2020 in celebration of the Arab Environment Day.
The webinar was attended by a number of Arab environment officials from the Jordanian Ministry of Environment, the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, the Environmental and Meteorology Department of the League of Arab States, and the Arab Network for Environment and Development “RAED”. They all offered valuable insights and forward-looking visions, and presented a number of relevant experiences and achievements.
The webinar is part of ALECSO’s keenness to participate in celebrating Arab and International Days, and to contribute practical solutions and suggestions for the advancement of environmental issues in the service of development, while taking the lead in anticipating the future of the environment in the Arab countries and preparing adequate responses.
