As part of the implementation of the “Charter for the Preservation and Development of Urban Heritage in the Arab States”, ALECSO proposed to the Arab League Economic and Social Council the establishment of an Observatory of Architectural and Urban Heritage in the Arab Countries. This mechanism includes, in particular, a register of Arab Urban Heritage.
