H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on September 9, 2026, at the Organization’s headquarters, H.E. Mr. Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
The Director-General expressed his gratitude to the Secretary-General for honoring the Organization with his visit.
During the meeting, an overview was presented of ALECSO’s projects, activities, and future programs in the educational, cultural, and scientific fields, as well as the initiatives being implementing across Member States. He also expressed his appreciation for the support extended by the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States to ALECSO, so that it can pursue its mandate in optimum conditions.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States expressed his appreciation to the Director-General for the significant role played by ALECSO in serving its Member States through the development of plans, programmes, and strategies that contribute to their advancement. He looked forward to ALECSO’s continued fulfilment of its mission of nurturing a knowledgeable and forward-looking generation, equipped to meet future challenges while remaining firmly rooted in its identity, language, and cultural heritage. He also underscored the importance of investing in young people, whose potential and aspirations will shape the future.
