H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), extended his warmest congratulations to Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT at ALECSO, on his election as Chairperson of the Governing Board of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), during the Institute’s 26th Governing Board session, held on August 20, 2026, in Beijing, China.
The Director-General expressed his pride in this election, affirming that it reflects international recognition of Arab expertise and competencies, and contributes to strengthening cooperation between ALECSO and UNESCO, as well as to enhancing Arab participation in international initiatives related to education, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
The Director-General also highlighted Dr. Jemni’s distinguished academic and professional career and his contributions to the fields of educational technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence, wishing him every success in his new responsibilities.
