ALECSO Director-General Participates in Meeting with the   African Foundation for Lifelong Learning 

 

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, participated in a virtual meeting held on August 5, 2026. The meeting was attended by Mr. Aziz Kaichouh, President of the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning, and Dr. Rami Iskander, Director of Education at ALECSO, who was accompanied by project coordinators and experts from the Education Department.

Participants discussed technical issues related to literacy and adult education, and put forward proposals for a framework for joint cooperation between the two organizations. Discussions focused on ways to advance their shared mission in literacy and adult education, and explored cooperation mechanisms that support both parties’ vision for implementing the Foundation’s forward-looking strategic plan, while benefiting from ALECSO’s extensive experience and expertise in the field of literacy and adult education.

Participants agreed to pursue coordination in order to translate the ideas discussed during the meeting into concrete initiatives, which will serve as the foundation for a roadmap guiding the Foundation’s future action plan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director-General expressed his appreciation to the President of the Foundation for providing the opportunity to hold this inaugural meeting between ALECSO and the African Foundation for Lifelong Learning. He also reaffirmed ALECSO’s readiness to continue cooperation and coordination through a joint technical committee, which will be established to launch a scientific and practical partnership in pursuit of shared goals.
