H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, headed the Organization's delegation to the 58th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, held in Amman, Jordan.
The meeting was inaugurated on June 24, 2026, by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, in the presence of the heads and directors of specialized Arab organizations as well as representatives of joint Arab action institutions.
During the meeting, the Director-General reviewed ALECSO’s key achievements over the period 2016–2026 and highlighted the major programs and initiatives implemented by the Organization in the fields of education, culture, and science. He also underscored ALECSO’s efforts to support joint Arab action and strengthen cooperation among Arab countries in its areas of competence.
The Director-General took this opportunity to commend the efforts made by the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States in advancing joint Arab action, and expressed his appreciation for the support extended to ALECSO, which has enabled the Organization to carry out its mandate under optimum conditions and to achieve significant results.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director-General awarded ALECSO’s Commemorative Shield to the Secretary-General and to Amb. Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the Office of the Secretary-General.
