ALECSO and AICTO Sign Cooperation Agreement

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen joint Arab cooperation in the fields of technology, innovation, and digital transformation, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization (AICTO) signed a partnership and cooperation agreement on May 11, 2026.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ben Amor, Director-General of AICTO, in the presence of senior officials and representatives from both organizations.

The agreement aims to expand areas of joint cooperation, particularly in advancing digital transformation across the education, culture, and science sectors; promoting the exchange of expertise and knowledge; and supporting the use of ICTs to advance sustainable development and strengthen Arab capacities.

This partnership reflects the two organizations’ shared commitment to consolidating efforts in order to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and open new avenues for collaboration through joint programs and initiatives that serve Arab countries and address the challenges of the digital era.
