H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on April 30, 2026, H.E. Mr. Rami Farouk Qaddoumi, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Tunisia.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Director-General and conveyed the greetings and appreciation of H.E. President Mahmoud Abbas, as well as Dr. Ali Abu Zuhri, Chairman of the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, and its Secretary-General, Dr. Jihad Ramadan. He commended ALECSO’s support for Palestinian initiatives funded by the Organization, which helps provide proper conditions for Palestinian educational and cultural institutions to carry out their missions and strengthen their resilience.
For his part, the Director-General expressed his appreciation for this significant visit which provides a renewed opportunity to further strengthen cooperation and consultation.
During the meeting, both sides explored prospects for joint cooperation, particularly in the fields of education, culture, and science, in a manner that serves joint Arab action and enhances its presence at both regional and international levels. They also discussed ways to further benefit from the participation of the State of Palestine in the Organization’s programs and activities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Palestinian Ambassador presented a commemorative shield to the Director-General of ALECSO in recognition of his efforts in advancing the Organization’s noble objectives.
