As part of the closing ceremony of “Kuwait, Capital of Arab Culture,” Dr. Mohammad Khaled Al-Jassar, Secretary-General of Kuwait’s National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, received ALECSO Director-General H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, reflecting the strong institutional partnership between the two sides in ensuring the success of this major Arab cultural event.
The Director-General commended the Council’s significant efforts in managing and implementing a comprehensive cultural program that showcased Kuwait’s civilizational identity and reinforced its role in the Arab cultural sphere.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continuing joint coordination and building on the achievements of the “Kuwait, Capital of Arab Culture” initiative. They highlighted plans to develop new cooperation programs in heritage preservation, support for cultural and creative industries, and the organization of intellectual and artistic events at both Arab and global levels. They affirmed that the “Capital of Arab Culture” experience stands as a model of integration between national institutions and Arab organizations, strengthening collective cultural action and consolidating the role of culture as a driver of sustainable development and rapprochement among peoples.
The meeting crowned a long-standing partnership between Kuwait’s National Council and ALECSO, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing strategic cooperation in support of the Arab cultural agenda.
