H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on January 28, 2026, a delegation from the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abuabah, Director-General of International Organizations at the Ministry. The visit took place on the sidelines of the Saudi delegation’s participation in the “Culture and Green Future” symposium organized by ALECSO in collaboration with the Saudi Culture Ministry.
This visit formed part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and strategic partnership between ALECSO and Saudi Arabia in the fields of culture and sustainable development, underscoring both sides’ commitment to advancing high-quality Arab initiatives with regional and international reach
The meeting provided an opportunity to review current areas of cooperation and to discuss prospects for developing joint programs and projects that serve the priorities of Arab cultural action, particularly those related to culture and sustainability, capacity-building, and institutional expertise-sharing.
The meeting also underscored ALECSO’s keenness to deepen cooperation with the Kingdom and to highlight Saudi Arabia’s key role in supporting the Organization’s programs and initiatives, in a manner that contributes to strengthening Arab integration and advancing joint cultural action.
