The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Education Department) organized a training workshop on December 27–28 2025 in Port Sudan, Republic of Sudan. The workshop brought together senior preschool education officials at the Ministry of Education, along with experts, academics, and early childhood personnel, with a total of 28 participants.
The workshop was deigned to lay the foundations for building an early childhood project based on the latest approaches, with focus on enhancing the capacities and expertise of relevant professionals.
Addressing the opening session, Dr. Kamal Hajjem, representative of ALECSO, conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, to all participants. He expressed appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the successful implementation of the workshop, which reflects the fruitful partnership between ALECSO and the Sudanese Education Ministry.
For his part, H.E. Dr. Hashim Ali Issa, Acting Minister of Education, Red Sea State, welcomed ALECSO’s experts, and extended his sincere thanks and high appreciation to ALECSO’s Director-General as well as to the Director of Education, Dr. Rami Iskander. He expressed hope that such activities would be intensified, for the benefit of the staff of the Education Ministry.
This training workshop offered a valuable opportunity to reaffirm partnership and cooperation between ALECSO and the Sudanese Education Ministry for a better educational future. It also embodied a shared commitment to expanding avenues of cooperation in the field of early childhood, developing capacities in line with recent developments, keeping abreast of the latest educational and psychological theories related to child development, and acquiring new tools to stimulate children’s creativity and address modern behavioral challenges.
