As part of a visit to the city of Aden to implement a training program on education and women’s empowerment, an ALECSO delegation, led by Dr. Rami Iskander, Director of Education, met, on 26 November 2025, with Dr. Al-Khidr Nasser Lasour, President of the University of Aden. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hafiza Al-Sheikh, Secretary-General of the Yemeni National Commission, along with several department heads and faculty members of the University.
Dr. Rami Iskander conveyed the greetings of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO. He affirmed the Organization’s keenness to provide technical support to the University in accordance with its educational priorities and needs, as well as to enhance the participation of Yemeni experts in ALECSO’s programs and projects.
The meeting also discussed prospects for future cooperation between ALECSO and the University of Aden.
For his part, Dr. Al-Khidr Nasser Lasour expressed his appreciation for ALECSO and its ongoing efforts to support Yemen through the implementation of various activities and events in the fields of education, culture, and science. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening this cooperation in the coming period, expressing the University’s readiness to host more activities on its campus.
