As part of an initiative launched by the Director-General, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization implemented, on November 19-21, 2025, training workshops in the fields of education, culture, and technology. The training aimed at further developing the capacities of relevant Comorian officials, and supporting efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
This initiative involved three training workshops focused on:
- Enhancing Arabic-language teaching in early childhood institutions and primary schools;
- Strengthening youth’s technical and vocational skills;
- Promoting e-learning and smart education methods and the use of AI in education.
The event was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Bacar Mvoulana, Comorian Minister of National Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Vocational Integration, who commended ALECSO’s efforts in supporting the Comoros and the significant level of cooperation between the two sides in furtherance of joint Arab action.
Speaking on behalf of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Dr. Kamal Al-Hajjam, ALECSO’s representative, expressed appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the success of this initiative. He expressed ALECSO’s readiness to continue providing technical assistance to the Comoros and to further strengthen partnership and cooperation.
