ALECSO holds Study Day on Educational Inclusion for Children with ASD

 

 

In celebration of World Teachers' Day, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Education Department) held a Study Day titled : Educational Inclusion for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Reality and Prospects.” 

The event took place on October 7, 2025 at ALECSO headquarters in Tunis, in cooperation with the Tunisian Organization for Education and Family.

The Study Day, held in hybrid format, was attended by representatives from the Tunisian Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Women, Family, Children and the Elderly, and other relevant public institutions, along with education experts, psychologists, and sociologists. Participants also included representatives from civil society organizations and integration centers from Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Morocco.

Discussions centered on the challenges facing the integration of children with ASD into the educational system and the ways to overcome these obstacles. 

Participants commended the significant role played by ALECSO in raising awareness on this vital issue, and emphasized the need to empower educational institutions in order to ensure universal access to inclusive quality education.
