HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, received, on October 5, 2025, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, at the Center's headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the celebration of the Arabic Manuscript Day, organized by ALECSO in collaboration with the Center.
The meeting explored ways of strengthening the fruitful cooperation between ALECSO and the Center, and emphasized the importance of establishing a joint scientific and practical program that helps advance the mandate and objectives of both institutions.
The meeting also touched on a new initiative that the Center is planning to launch in the close future, in which ALECSO will play an active partner role.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed during the meeting, designed to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The MoU includes provisions for organizing scientific programs in support of their shared vision for the promotion of joint Arab action in education, culture, and science.
At the end of the meeting, the Director-General presented HRH Prince Turki Al-Faisal with the ALECSO Honorary Shield, in recognition of his leading role in promoting knowledge and scientific research.
