ALECSO organizes Parallel Session on   “Science of Learning and Human-AI Collaboration”

On the sidelines of the 2025 Global Smart Education Conference in Beijing, China, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) organized, on August 18, 2025, jointly with the Beijing Normal University, a Parallel Session on “Science of Learning and Human-AI Collaboration”.

Speaking on behalf of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of ICT, emphasized, during the opening session, that the science of learning is not only a field of academic research, but a fundamental pillar for understanding the mechanisms of knowledge acquisition and for shaping educational policies that meet learners' needs in an era of unprecedented digital transformation.  He further stressed that human-machine collaboration is a defining feature of the digital transformation era, which requires deep reflection on how to best leverage these technologies not only to facilitate learning, but also to gain deeper insights into its processes and ways to improve it. This calls for multidisciplinary collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers at both regional and international levels.

Dr. Jemni indicated that ALECSO is implementing various programs and initiatives in areas related to digital transformation, AI in education, and AI ethics. This stems from its belief that knowledge is key to building a more inclusive and equitable future for all learners around the world.
