At the kind invitation of H.E. Mr. Mohamed Saad Berrada, Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, and President of the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) took part in the regular session of the General Assembly of the National Commission, held on June 25, 2025 in Rabat, Morocco.
The session was attended by the Director-General of ICESCO, the Director of the UNESCO Maghreb Office, the President of the Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of Preschool Education, and the members of the Moroccan National Commission.
The session opened with a speech by the President of the National Commission in which he overviewed the Commission’s achievements and work program for 2025. He commended the significant level of partnership and cooperation with UNESCO, ICESCO, and ALECSO.
Dr. Mourad Rifi, Director of the Arabization Coordination Bureau, spoke on behalf of ALECSO’s Director-General, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar. He reviewed the significant outcomes of cooperation between ALECSO and the Moroccan National Commission as well as with the relevant ministries, in the service of joint Arab action.
On behalf of ALECSO, Dr. Rifi expressed deep gratitude to all partners in Morocco, appreciating their strong belief in the importance of enhancing cooperation in pursuit of shared goals.
The session featured a presentation of the Commission’s work program, followed by the approval of its budget and future action plan. It concluded with a set of recommendations designed to further enhance the Commission’s role.
