H.E. Mr. Mohamed Seghir Saâdaoui, Algerian Minister of National Education, received, on June 22, 2025 at the Ministry’s headquarters, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
The meeting was attended by the Director-General’s accompanying delegation, as well as by senior officials from the Ministry, the Secretary-General of the Algerian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, and Algeria’s representative on ALECSO’s Executive Board.
The Minister welcomed the Director-General and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in Algeria. He expressed his appreciation of ALECSO’s valuable contributions as a platform of expertise in its areas of competence, through the significant programs and activities it implements across the Arab world. The Minister also commended the excellent relations between the Ministry and ALECSO, highlighting, in this regard, the active role played by the Algerian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture.
For his part, the Director-General thanked the Minister for providing the opportunity of this meeting to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides. He expressed ALECSO’s gratitude for Algeria’s continued support, which enables the Organization to pursue its mandate in optimal conditions.
The meeting listened to presentations by the directors of ALECSO’s technical Departments on the activities scheduled for the 2025–2026 financial cycle, and discussed the possibility of Algeria’s hosting of some of them.
The Minister expressed great interest in the objectives and expected outcomes of these activities which can be the subject of joint cooperation that would benefit the relevant ministries in Algeria. The Minister reiterated his thanks to ALECSO and its Director-General for their positive engagement and for sharing their educational, cultural, and scientific expertise.
Both parties agreed to pursue consultation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in implementing programs that promote innovation and entrepreneurship, being key drivers of progress and development.
At the end of the meeting, the Director-General presented the Algerian Minister with the Honorary Shield of ALECSO
