ALECSO Director-General receives IRCICA Director-General



 

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on April 9, 2025 at ALECSO headquarters, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç, Director-General of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA), a cultural institution affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen cultural and scientific ties between ALECSO and IRCICA,  in implementation of the Cooperation Agreement signed in February 2025 in Istanbul.

On the occasion of this visit, a ceremony was held to honor Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç and his accompanying delegation. This event was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to the Republic of Tunisia, H.E. Mr. Ahmet Misbah Demircan, along with the Directors of ALECSO’s Departments, experts, and staff members.

In his welcome remarks, Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar expressed ALECSO’s pleasure in hosting such a prominent international figure in the field of science and culture, indicating that this visit serves as a starting point for fruitful cooperation in areas of shared interest.  

For his part, Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç expressed his gratitude for providing this opportunity to make his first visit to ALECSO’s headquarters, which will open wide prospects for future collaboration between the two institutions.

The visit concluded with an exchange of gifts between the two Director-Generals.
