In the context of implementing the “ALECSO Science Gate” project, and as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and promote communication channels among academics, researchers, and postgraduate students, as well as among universities and scientific research institutions worldwide, an introductory meeting about the “ALECSO Science Gate” was held remotely on February 18, 2025. Thirty (30) scientific research deans and officers from a number of Arab countries attended the meeting.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mohamed Sanad Abu Darwish, Director of Science and Scientific Research at ALECSO, briefed the meeting on ALECSO’s mandate, objectives, and ongoing projects, as well as on the “ALECSO Science Gate” project. He urged the participants to contribute to the Gate and to invite academicians and researchers in their respective universities to register via its website: http://alecso-science-gate.org.
Mr. Amine Dahmani, Project Coordinator at ALECSO, offered a detailed overview of the “ALECSO Science Gate”, the first Arab science gate of its kind, launched by ALECSO on the belief that “knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied”. Through this Gate, ALECSO seeks to select experts, reviewers, and specialists for its projects, conferences, and seminars from among those registered, as well as to create a database of institutions, academics, and researchers in various areas of specialization. The Gate is also a means for ALECSO to share its newsletters, invitations, and announcements.
Participants expressed appreciation of this initiative, and contributed ideas and suggestions to enrich the Arab Science Gate.
