Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Director of the Institute of Arab Research and Studies, and Dr. Bassam Badran, President of the Lebanese University in Beirut, signed, on May 19, 2023, a Cooperation Protocol between the Institute and the University, as part of promoting scientific and cultural cooperation among Arab academic institutions.
The Protocol provides for strengthening academic and research cooperation between the Institute and the University, exchanging researchers, conducting joint research and studies, and preparing reports on scientific and cultural topics of common interest. It also provides for the exchange of faculty members and postgraduate students, participation in thesis juries, organization of joint conferences, seminars and training workshops, and the sharing of publications and periodicals.
The signing ceremony was held on the sidelines of the Institute’s participation in the annual conference of the Arab Association of Political Science, held in Beirut, Lebanon on May 18-22, 2023.
Under the directives of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, Dr. Mohamed Kamal delivered an address in which he highlighted the role of ALECSO in promoting research and education activities in the Arab world, in partnership with relevant Arab institutions and research centers.
