Institute of Arabic Manuscripts participates in   International Forum on Human and Social Sciences – Insaniyyat  

 

 

The Institute of Arabic Manuscripts, a subsidiary institution of ALECSO, took part in the International Forum on Human and Social Sciences – Insaniyyat, organized on September 20-24, 2022 by the University of Manouba, jointly with the University of Tunis and the University of Tunis-El Manar. 

The Institute participated in the session on “The Challenges of Digital Humanities in the Time of Open Science”.  The Director of the Institute, Dr. Mourad Rifi, offered a virtual presentation on the Institute’s Microfilm Collection of Manuscripts. He reviewed the photographic missions that produced the microfilm collection, and highlighted the practical and organizational efforts made by the Institute to process, digitize and preserve this collection, and make it available to researchers and to all those interested in the Arab region and around the world.
