As part of the celebration of International Literacy Day, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (Education Department) holds on September 8, 2020, a virtual meeting to share and discuss a number of Arab experiences for promoting literacy and adult learning and education.
This event is an opportunity to give renewed attention to the promotion of literacy for millions of people across the world, and to strengthen cooperation among countries, societies and relevant regional and international organizations in order to find sustainable and thorough solutions ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities, as part of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
