1- Education Curricular Directives

1. Developing regional cooperation between organizations operating in Arab countries in education, achieving complementarity and coordinating their programs.

2. Enhancing the efforts of generalizing basic education (mandatory status) and illiteracy eradication efforts, in adult education, ongoing education; striving to increase funds allocated to them in future budgets; making complementary scientific researches containing various alternatives and tackling implementation methods, funding ways and organizational matters; having recourse to experts for helping governments set up their national illiteracy eradication and adult education strategies; activating CSOs' and media's role in illiteracy eradication and adult education in the framework of the education process and professionalization.

3. Generalizing preschool education and pushing towards integrating it in the education scheme.

4. Elaborating Arabic curricula over conflict resolution aimed at youths and adults.

5. Promoting women's role and enhancing its image in school curricula in a way that matches their role as key partners in human development.

6. Developing the reading habit among the different social groups, and adopting national projects in the field of Reading For All.

7. Putting particular emphasis on people with special needs -talented and mentallly-retarted- and working on integrating the latter group in the normal educational processes.

8. Achieving cooperation between educational institutions in Arab countries and working towards unifying education outputs in the different educational stages.

9. Encouraging common Arab effort towards training education planners in an up-to-date way in order to achieve the necessary interaction between Arab experiences in the field of planning, and between them and world experiences.

10. Adopting the Productive University concept which fulfils real interaction with society and allows affording extra funds to the university to support its different activities without affecting its essential roles.

11. Observing Arab countries' experiences as to Productive University and remote learning, determining needed remote and open education tools and affording them for implementing this education mode; and setting up its quality indicators.

12. Setting up national boards with the responsibility of evaluating higher-education institutions at governmental level and -optionally- the mechanisms and requirements of self- and external evaluation at the Arab world level.

13. Granting special attention to the education situation in Palestine in order to enhance its ability to face the challenges of the Zionist danger and preserve the Palestinian people's Arab identity.

14. Enhancing and developing technical and vocational education in its various fields in way keeping up with modern international trends and the Arab job market requirements.

15. Committing to achieving the principle of the Arab citizen's right to education and equal opportunities in a way that ensures quality and continuity, and affording education curricula to all.

16. Setting up criteria and prerequisites to private universities in the Arab world in a way ensuring quality; reviewing these prerequisites and criteria in light of remarks governments forward as to the results of what has been implemented and recommending their amendments if needed; and observing Arab and other countries experiences in the field.

18. Creating an Arab Network for Information technology and sources as a center for knowledge coordination and orientation unification; and developing and exchanging skills between Arab and other States.

19. Spreading information on outstanding education experiences at Arab, Islamic and world levels and  profiting from them.

20.Creating centers for exploring and sustaining talented people in the different educational and didactic fields.

21. Creating an Arab Education Watchdog for documenting information, studies and outstanding experiences so as to make them an comprehensive Arab reference for all Arab education practitioners in their different fields of specialization.

22. Studying the possibility of setting up a unified system for diplomas and degrees equivalence and accreditation between Arab countries.

23. Fostering the role of all non-formal educational institutions, particularly the family and the media, in youths education.
