ALECSO congratulates the leadership, government and people of Iraq on the complete liberation of Mosul from Daesh terrorist organization

On behalf of Dr. Mohamed Abdelbari Al-Kadasi, Assistant Director General of ALECSO who is on a mission abroad, Dr. Mohamed Madbouli, Director of the Education Department at ALECSO, paid a visit, on July 13, 2017, to the Embassy of Iraq in Tunis to express sincere congratulations to the leadership, government and people of Iraq after the complete liberation of the city of Mosul from the grip of Daesh terrorist group.
Dr. Madbouli was received, on his arrival at the Embassy, by H.E. Dr. Jaber Habib Jaber, Ambassador of Iraq to Tunisia. In a message he wrote on behalf of ALECSO in the Book of Congratulations opened on this occasion, Dr. Madbouli expressed full confidence in the ability of the Iraqi people to overcome the consequences of this predicament, and to relaunch the process of civilizational progress which they initiated thousands of years ago, and which has significantly enriched and inspired universal civilization. He also expressed hope to see the fields of education, culture and sciences play a key role in helping Iraq regain its rightful place at the regional and international levels.
The ALECSO representative and the Iraqi Ambassador highlighted, on this occasion, the need to strengthen joint Arab action in order to prevent and combat terrorism and overcome its consequences. They also addressed the role that ALECSO can undertake in this regard, especially through its contribution to ensuring the right to quality education for refugee and displaced children, and protecting and preserving cultural heritage in conflict areas.
